Wurtsboro is a quaint, friendly community that is full of charm but close to nature. We love our small town feel, our historic architecture and the fact that we can walk to our shops and services downtown. We are proud of the fact that we have friendly people and a strong community spirit as evidenced by the duck races, street fair and our Veterans’ Park. Visioning Statement For Wurtsboro Our vision for the future of Wurtsboro includes more flowers and trees along Main Street, and a more pedestrian-friendly community with crosswalks and sidewalks that are easier to navigate. We would like to see more businesses and more people in our downtown, while maintaining our quaint village atmosphere. We would also like to improve security and provide more opportunities for our youth. In seeking change, we hope to improve Wurtsboro, making it a better place for generations to come. |
